Folios 261-262: enclosure with folios 259-260. Letter dated 19 August 1797, from Daniel O'Brien, Portsmouth to Captain Stephen Poyntz, HMS Solebay, Portsmouth. States that due to ill health he cannot go to sea as a Purser and requests to be appointed to a ship in Ordinary.
