Folios 207-208: Robert Plampin, HMS Vestal, Nore. States on 4 March 1797 received orders from Admiral Duncan to wait at the Nore until 15 March 1797 for the ships bound to Davis Straits and Greenland. He was then to proceed off the Humber a wait for the rest of the trade of ships from London. He had a list of 16 ships, 5 additional ships appeared and proceeded without convoy, 7 others remaining at London. Requests directions on if he should wait any longer.
