Folios 171-172: William Pierrepont, HMS Naiad, Great Nore. Reports he was anchored in Elsinore Road on 30 October 1797, where he remained waiting for the vessels to arrive from the Baltic until 5 November 1797. He then set sail with 54 ships bound for different ports in England and Scotland. Describes the journey back and outlines the ships that joined and left the convoy and why.
Folios 173-174: enclosure with folios 171-172. Letter dated 31 October 1797, from Charles Fenwick, Elsingser to Captain William Pierrepont, HMS Naiad, Elsinore Road. States that 50 or more ships are expected and a considerable number are already gathered off Falsterbo Reef. States that staying to provide a convoy is a great service to the trade.
