Folios 106-107: Arthur Phillip, HMS Swiftsure, Cawsand Bay. Reports losing a main topmast on 26 December 1797 and returning to Brest having been separated from Vice Admiral John Colpoys. His arrival in Cawsand Bay follows 6 days at sea without seeing any of the squadron. States he has received orders from Admiral Lord Alexander Arthur Hood, Ist Viscount Bridport, to join him, which he will do when the repairs on his ship are repaired. A defect report has been given to the Navy Board and delivered to Sir Richard King.
