Description

Folios 57-58: Thomas Peyton, HMS Minerva, Portsmouth Harbour. States the case of Allen Smith, previously a Boatswain's Mate on HMS Diamond, commanded by Sir Sidney Smith and then on HMS Fury. As a consequence of an injury he was in Haslar Hospital and on recovery was ordered to the gun boat service. States he wants to accept him on board HMS Minerva and recommends him for promotion.
