Description

Folios 201-207: Charles Dudley Pater, HMS Porcupine, Halifax Harbour. Report on the Convoy as per the Admiralty Order dated 14 June 1797. [Total of Ten sides] Names the Convoy:- Transports:- Fanny, Ann, Briton, Barton, Elizabeth & Sailingrove Naval Store Ship bound to Halifax. Merchant Vessels:- Argyle and Endeavour bound to Newfoundland.

Folios 208-209: enclosure with folios 201-207. William Pemberton, Agent for Transports, Fanny Transport, at Sea. To Charles Dudley Pater, HMS Porcupine. Dated 4 November 1797. Report on the Briton Transport having run onboard the Fanny Transport in the late traffic Gale. Signed George Robinson - Master, John Locket - 1st Mate, John Jackson - 2nd Mate & John Stephenson - Carpenter.

Folios 210-211: enclosure with folios 201-207. Charles Dudley Pater, HMS Porcupine, Cove of Cork. To the Masters of Sailingrove Naval Storeship, Transports:- Ann, Briton, Barton, Fanny and Elizabeth. [Details of how the Convoy will operate]. [Copy of Folios 201-202].

Signed George Williams - Master - HMS Porcupine, William Perry - Carpenter HMS Porcupine, Thomas Clachar - Carpenter's Mate HMS Porcupine & John Stephenson - Carpenter Fanny Transport.

Folios 213-214: enclosure with folios 201-207. G Gardner consultant to C L Wissman Captains Clerk, at Sea. To Charles Dudley Pater, HMS Porcupine. Dated 22 October 1797. Report following being boarded on 17 October 1797 by a French Privateer said to be the Mary, Captain Pied from Nantes.

Report on the Convoy as per the Admiralty Order dated 14 June 1797.
