Folios 167-168: Thomas Parr, HMS Standard. off Gravesend. [Addressed to:-] Admiral Sir Thomas Palsy Bart., Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels in the River Thames. HMS Centaur, River Thames. States he has received and read to the Ship's Company of HMS Standard the Pardon of My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty for which they are truly thankful. But find amoung the excepted Men John Thomas (5) who is onboatd the Ship & whose crimes are not so bad as to render him quite unworthy of Pardon. He has to request you wil be pleased Sir hom to interfere in his behalf that he may be allowed to run a pen thro' his Name in the expectations. Ir was certainly put there by mistake, and not in the smallest degree from intention.
