Folios 165-166: Wilhelmina Parr, Hillingdon, Uxbridge. Sir A letter received this day from her Husband the [Thomas Parr] Captain of HMS Standard at the Nore are as follows:- "2nd June 1797, I have broke open this to inform you I am quite well and have nothing to apprehend from the People - I am writing to the Delegates and hope to bring matters to bear. Write to Mr Nepean and say I think The Admiralty should hold out a little longer - I am in hopes thro' my people to bring things about. A letter I wrote has been well received and I expect they will solicit me to go to them in the [HMS] Sandwich." "The Ships Names - HMS Sandwich, HMS Montague, HMS Belliqueux, HMS Monmouth, HMS Standard, HMS Nassau, HMS Repulse, HMS Director, HMS inflexible, HMS Lion, HMS Grampus - Storeship, HMS Serapis - Storeship, 4 Frigates and 5 Sloops" "Send this list to the Admiralty" "Having acted in obedience to the Commands of my Husband you will doubtless excuse this address from Sir" "Your most humble Servant" Wilhelmina Parr.
