Description

Folios 159-160: Thomas Parr, HMS Standard, Yarmouth Roads. Reply to letter with the enclosed [not present] Petition from John Francis Flemming a Black Man who entered voluntarilly as he described in the said Petition, disliking the treatment he received onboard the Mary and Ann. But he dose not remember ever promising him the Bounty, He can safely say he did not. HMS Malabar never was at Montigo Bay, but got John Francis Flemming on board from the Mary and Ann at Sea about the day mentioned in the Petition.
