Folios 137-138: George Parker, HMS Santa Margarita, Spithead. States Lieutenant Pearson who is appointed to HMS Santa Margarita having obtained Admiralty leave to attend at an Election, which in all probability will detain him some time, and make his joining HMS Santa Margarita very uncertaint. He requests they appoint a Junior Lieutenant to Mr Thomas James & Mr James Keenan whose Commissions are dated the 27 February 1795 and 26 December 1795 [respectivly] to HMS Santa Margarita they being very good & deserving Officers & were Lieutenant'a in HMS Santa Margarita in the Actions with the [HMS?] Thames on Lieutenant [George] Harrison's Promotion, who was then first Lieutenant. Mr [Thomas Dorsett] Birchall was then appointed to HMS Santa Margarita, who was Senior to them, he being removed from the ship induces him to sollicit the appointemnt of a Junior Lieutenant to them.
