Folios 209-210: Israel Pellew, HMS Amphion, Lisbon. Captain Mowat, HMS Assistance ordered him to take to ships their ports in Portugal and Cadiz. He was informed of a French squadron in Cadiz Bay so he came into port for information and found Captain Mansfield and HMS Andromanche with the same orders so he has taken him under his orders and will go to meet Admiral Mann in Cadiz.
Folios 211-212: enclosure with folios 209-210. Letter dated 11 December 1795 by James Duff, Consul at Cadiz to Mr Koster. He has received Mr Walpole's cover. He doubts if he will see the Newfoundland Squadron as usual which will disappoint vessels loaded here who are insured to go with that convoy so they will be sent with Spanish ships.
