Description

Folio 386: Francis Pickmore, Regulating Captain, Dover. Acknowledges the order to hire a tender, along with instructions from the Navy Board. Points out that he sometimes has difficuty in hiring boats for short periods, as the owners complain of the damage they sustain. He thinks it will cost more than hiring them by the month, or even purchasing one.
