Description

Folios 309-310: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Prince Regent, Kingston. He has made further enquiries into the charges against Damiel May, formerly Purser of the Naval Yard at Kingston, in response to Mr Manaws letter of 4 July. Encloses the names and statements of those with knowledge of the transaction, which occurred 6 months before his arrival, preventing effective investigation.

Folio 311: enclosure with folios 309-310. Duplicate letter dated 21 October 1815 from Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Prince Regent, Kingston, to The Admiralty. Duplicate of folio 309.

Folio 313: enclosure with folios 309-310. Summary dated 17 October 1815 of statements made in the case of Daniel May, late Purser of HMS Prince Regent. Statements from William McNally, a shopkeeper at Kingston, and Mr Tuttle, Commissariat Storekeeper, obtained by Captain Payne.

Folios 315-316: enclosure with folios 309-310. Duplicate of folio 313.
