Folios 298-299: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS St Lawrence, Kingston. Replying to the letter of 26 June. It appears from the books that John Ewbank ran from HMS Prince Regent on 1 May 1815. He encloses the extract and returns his letter.
Folio 300: enclosure with folios 298-299. Letter dated 14 April 1815 from John Ewbank, Midshipman, HMS Prince Regent, to The Admiralty. As peace has been concluded with America, he imagines his services will not be so much required. As he has served only a short time and has no prospect of promotion, requests his discharge.
Folio 302: enclosure with folios 298-299. Extract from the Clerk of the Cheque Open List, re John Ewbank, run 1 May 1815, dated 3 October 1815 and signed by W Barber.
