Folios 233-234: Dowell O'Reilly, HMS Lyra, Hamoaze. Encloses papers from John LIncoln, acting Boatswain in his ship, but formerly in HMS Dispatch and employed on shore at the Siege of San Sebasteano, when he was eye witness to his gallantry nand good conduct, for which he was recommended by Sir George Collier. He hopes he will be confirmed in HMS Lyra.
Folios 235-236: enclosure with folios 233-234. Order dated 28 January 1813 from William Domett, Vice Admiral of the Red, Commander in Chief at Plymouth, to John LIncoln, late acting Boatswain of HMS Dispatch, given on board HMS Salvador del Mundo, Hamoze, signed by Richard Bromley, Secretary. Captain Dowell O'Reilly reports that his Boatswain has been found unfit on survey and requested another. Appoints him to act as Boatswain of HMS Lyra.
