Description

Folios 257-258: Robert O'Brien, Regulating Captain, Limerick. From the enclosed letter will learn that Jeremiah Sullivan, a respectable inhabitant and Magistrate of Castletown near Berehaven, has put on HMS Trent a man named, Daniel Sullivan, with the idea that the rest of his crew are to be protected. Requests guidance on this and similar cases.

Folios 259-260: enclosure with folios 257-258. Letter from [?] O'Sullivan to Captain Robert O'Brien dated 30 June 1812. Contents as stated in folios 257-258. On reverse of letter confirmation of Daniel Sullivan having been received on HMS Trent signed by Edward Harries, Lieutenant Commander, dated 30 June 1812.
