Folios 227-228: Lieutenant Philip Wright, Limerick. In absence of Captain O'Brien, who is currently empoyed on other duty, states that having impressed a Seaman, Robert McGill, who by his own declaration was concealed on shore, found in a chest a Certificate calculated to protect him from being impressed when out of this Port. It is signed by James Hassell, Surgeon, setting out the inability of the impressed man to serve in HM Royal Navy under the name of Robert Munro. Considers it his duty to forward it for Lordships' information and asserts it is a falsehood. Hassell was employed examining men at the Rendezvous but was not employed for the last three monthsFolio 229: enclosure with folios 227-228. Statement by James Hassell, Surgeon Royal Navy at HMS Rendezvous, Limerick dated 25 April 1812 on state of health of Robert Munro. Gives a full description of Robert Munro and states he is unfit for naval service due to epilepsy.
