Folios 382-383: Robert Dudley O'Brien, HMS Valiant, off L'Orient. Has been directed by Rear Admiral Thomas Sotheby to state the case of Richard Dawes, Landsman, who says he was impressed by the First Lieutenant of HMS Phoenix in Plymouth in July 1805 and has become entitled to inherit his mother's house and land, he appeared fully able to serve in the Navy.
Folios 384-385: enclosure with folios 382-383. Letter dated 3 July 1810 from Margaret Dawes, Talbot Stone, Cornwall. Pleads for the liberty of her only son, Richard Dawes, a Landsman.
