Folios 429-430: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Clyde, the Downs. John W. Innis alias W. Kinnis volunteered from the 90th Regiment to the Royal Marines in 1795 in which Corps he served until reduction at the end of the last war when he had a certificate from General [Auvenne?]. He enlisted again this March as a Private Marine. Captain Owen asks for an order to apply to the Post Office for the certificate in order that the man receives the increased pay.
