Folios 418-419: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Clyde, the Downs. Reports that John Peavey was impressed by the Clyde's boats. He has entered the service and is now employed as the Purser's Steward.
Folio 420-421: enclosure with folios 418-419. Letter received 12 August 1807 by [the Admiralty?] . Record of employment for John Peavey. He was engaged as Cooper and Steward on the Union, East Indiaman. Captain Gilliard. Peavey was impressed on or about the previous Thursday and taken on board the Clyde. He has an Admiralty protection for two years and has not long been a seaman. His father is lame and not able to do anything, this is very heavy on his wife and John Peavey has contributed towards the support of his parents. His liberation is requested.
