Folios 387-388: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Clyde, off Gravesend. Following his express letter sent from Sheerness. he is anchored off Gravesend and has made arrangements to land HRH the Duchess of Brunswick. When passing Sheerness he received an order from Rear Admiral Wells to proceed as near to Greenwich as possible. HRH had informed the Princess of Wales of her intention to land at Gravesend. The Captain opines to adhere to the Gravesend landing , but to send HRH's bagage by water to Greenwich and asks that orders are given to the Greenwich Customs Officers.
