Folios 373-374: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Clyde, at Sea.He has been asked to provide information on Nicholas Shephird and encloses documents.
Folios 375-376: enclosure with folios 373-374. Affidavit dated 22 May 1807, oath by Honnor Shephird of Townstall, Devon, widow of Abraham Shephird, Mariner made before David Taylor, Dartmouth Devon to the Admiralty. Her son Nicholas Shephird was baptised in South Milton and is aged 12 years and 6 months. Honnor Shephird asks for the discharge of her son Nicholas. Before 5th April 1807, he had never been at sea. On 5th April she consented for Nicholas to go on Board the William of Dartmouth where Joe Brown was to Master in order to decide to be bound to Joe Brown. The vessel had brought a cargo of coal from Sunderland and was to return. At anchor in the Downs, on 15th May, Nicholas was impressed and detained on HMS Clyde.
