Folios 353-354: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Clyde, Walmer Road. Acknowledges the letter and report concerning the request for payment of 30 shillings to the Carpenter of HMS Clyde for his supervision on repairs of several vessels in his Squadron (normally carried out at a Dockyard) since the Carpenter of the Edgar was unavailble. Asks for the order for the payment to be made.
Folios 355-356: enclosure with folios 353-354. Letter dated 123 May 1807 by William Rule, F. J. Hartwell and H. Legge of the Navy Board to William Marsden, First Secretary to the Admiralty. They state that the Carpenter of the Clyde is not entitled to the extra allowance of 3 shilings per day for his supervision of repairs to ships of the Squadron whether great or small when they go to a Dockyard, except when the Carpenter of the Edgar is unavailable.
