Folios 253-254: Terence O'Neill, Oughterard, Galway Town. He was directed by Admiral Bowen to proceed from Kinsale District to Bunowen, Connemara, on HM service. He applies for some renumeration for his expenses in the order of 50 or sixty pounds.
Folios 255-256: enclosure with folios 253-254. Letter dated 9th October 1807 by Vice Admiral George Bowen, Dublin to Terence O'Neill. He has returned from reviewing the Fencibles, Signal towers and Gun boats along the coast of Ireland. Concerning the expenses for services from Kinsale District. There are many harbours along that remote district and only Captain O'Brien and Lieutenant Percy in that Quarter. On returning to the Rendezvous, he will receive the usual sum given to an officer of that rank.
