Folios 196-197: Edward William Owen, HMS Clyde, Walmer Road. Mr. Edward Smith, late Purser of HMS Immortalité, which has been taken to be broken up; is without an appointment. The Captain gives his testimonial along with others from other Officers and begs for an appointment and small increase in salary on behalf of the former. He gives details of Smith's honourable service.
