Folios 305-306: Terence O'Neill, Poole. Asking for their Lordships' opinion on a question regarding a man on leave being subject to impress, and advising with great pleasure that George Garland on behalf of the merchants of this place, adding to the bounty, has procured 3 'very fine young landmen' for the Service. He hopes the next day will also bring in recruits as he has hired fifes and drummers to go with two recruiting parties to Wareham and Winbourn. He is expecting to hear shortly of a place to set up the Rendezvous, and thinks it will be a most effective check on smuggling seamen in or out of this port.
