Folios 288-289: Terence O'Neill, Poole. Sending a copy of an agreement made between himself and Captain Neville, with the approval of their Lordships, and the mayor and merchants of the town regarding bounties paid to seamen recruited by them. Detailed in the letter, which also says he himself will focus on Swanage, where he hopes for success in recruiting good men. However, he points out that the boat provided is inadequate for the job and asks permission to have her refitted.
Folio 290: enclosed with folios 288-289. Mayor and merchants undertake to offer additional bounties to procure men and deliver them to the Rendezvous, Captain O'Neill, or the HMS Portmahon, Captain Neville. The captains agree to allow the merchants to send seamen and fishermen aboard their respective ships or in port, in consideration of their offering a bounty of 3 guineas for every able seaman, 2 guineas for an ordinary seaman and 1 guinea to every able-bodied landman procured.
Folio 291: enclosed with folios 288-289. Printed form of men procured by Captain O'Neill, from 26 March to 2 April 1803 - total 60 (2 volunteers and 5 pressed since last account).
