Folios 285-286: Terence O'Neill, Poole. Acknowledging receipt of Admiralty letters of 29 and 30 March. In answer to the first he sends the surgeon of the Rendezvous' letter on the subject, and to the second, assures them he will attend to their directions in regard to the protections afforded the Newfoundland fishery. Also he encloses an indenture which he considers incorrect because no ship is mentioned and erasures are visible - asks if they will return it to him, also the Chelsea Pensioner ticket of Thomas Reid, who has written for that purpose.
Folio 287: enclosed with folios 285-286:. Letter dated 29 March 1803 by Young West, Poole, sending O'Neill his warrant appointing him surgeon and agent for Sick and Wounded Seamen dated 9 January 1799, and assuring him that there is no surgeon residing here other than himself or any who has held a similar situation at all connected with the Navy.
