Folios 329-330: Edward William Campbell Richard Owen, HMS Nemesis, Spithead. He writes about Commodore Sutton and his secretary, servants and retinue. There has been an administrative muddle. He had Commodore Sutton and his retinue on board his ship on the understanding he was to be taken off the books of HMS Nemesis and moved to HMS Amazon and put on the books there. But the captains of the vessels have discovered that for at least 24 hours the Commodore was in effect on both ship's books. He asks for directions from the Admiralty as to how he should resolve this problem.
