Folios 292-293: James Oughton, HMS Windsor Castle, Spithead. He encloses the order given to Lieutenant Salisbury Price Humphries transferring him to HMS Isis in which ship he continued until its arrival at Yarmouth Roads as a consequence of Lieutenant Francis Gibbon being appointed to HMS Gier with a view to him being promoted.
Folio 294: enclosure to folios 299-293. Copy order from Andrew Mitchell Vice Admiral of the Blue to Lieutenant Salisbury Price Humphries dated 4 September 1799. As Lieutenant Francis Gybbon has been sent to England with despatches you are required to take charge of HMS Gier until further order.
