Folios 162-163: James Oughton, HMS Windsor Castle. Cawsands Bay. He observes that at present his ship is 42 short of its full complement. IN addition he has 8 men so unwell they must be invalided out. He asks for an order to bring the crew up to full strength. He adds that the crew is in addition short of experienced seamen and while he realises the chances of rectifying this are small he asks for his crew to be made up with landsmen and marines.
