Description

Folios 158-159: Robert Waller Otway, HMS Edgar. He has been asked to account for the fact that the Chaplain of HMS London was absent when the vessel was last mustered. He states that Mr Bruge was the Chaplain of HMS London at the time but was on Sir Hyde Parker's Flagship and had Captain Otway's approval for him to remain in Portsmouth as Sir Hyde Parker wished to have a Mr Scott, his own former chaplain, appointed to HMS London. He was on HMS London when they arrived in the Baltic and remained with the ship until the Admiral struck his flag when he received Sir Hyde Parker's permission to return to England.
