Description

Folios 165-166: James Oughton, HMS Hecla, Nore. Encloses the report on Lieutenant Higginson and asks for another Lieutenant to be appointed.

Folio 167: enclosed with folios 165-166. Letter dated 12 July 1798 by William Stuart and W. S. Brown, Surgeon, HMS Andromache. Pursuant to an order from Skeffington Lutwidge, Admiral of the Blue and Commander in Chief of ships and vessels in the River Medway and at the Buoy of the Nore, they report that they have surveyed Lieutenant Higginson on HMS Hecla and confirm that he has hepatitis and he should go to sick quarters.
