Folios 189-190: John Orde, HMS Venerable, Torbay. As Rear Admiral John Bourmaster has struck his flag and departed for Bath, he opened the Admiralty's orders of 30 October and 1 November. He has sent HMS Ruby to St Helens to place herself under the orders of Captain Robert Montagu of HMS Sampson, and passed on the orders of 1 November to Admiral Lord Howe, who has already taken HMS Impregnable and HMS Audacious under his command.
