Folios 181-185: John Orde, HMS Venerable, Torbay. Reports he did not receive the Admiralty letter forwarding one from Captain Browne [John Brown] of HMS Victorious until he was just leaving Plymouth or he would have replied sooner. Presents a detailed account of the transfer of approximately 180 men from HMS Asia to HMS Venerable in accordance with the enclosed order [not present] from Vice Admiral John Dalrymple, notes that there were almost no petty officers among them . The Admiral's Lieutenant later presented him with the enclosed list and said the missing petty officers would be ordered to join HMS Venerable when they returned.
Folio 186: enclosed with folios 181-185. List, not dated, signed by First Lieutenant J Richards [John Richards ?] of the names of 27 petty officers discharged from HMS Asia into HMS Venerable.
