Folios 142-143: John Orde, HMS Victorious. Reports he left Blackstakes on Monday for Spithead at the orders of Vice Admiral John Dalrymple, but that the following evening by a mistake of the Pilot the ship went aground on the Galloper Shoal. She was got off without damage, but last night another Pilot ran her aground on the Bardsey Sand and he has just got the vessel off but she has lost her masts. Her has now anchored off the Shipwash. With the assistance of HMS Cormorant and the authorities at Harwich he will try to reach the Nore.
