Folios 486-487: Francis Newcombe, HMS Chesapeake, Simons Bay, Cape Good [of] Hope. Reports that William George Chapman a Midshipman who was discharged from HMS Impregnable into HMS Chesapeake as part of her complement has repeatedly behaved Insubordinately to his superiors and has often been admonished. He has today disrated him from Midshipman for very gross conduct to Lieutenant Charles Inglis the Officer of the Watch which conduct is noted in the Log of this Day.
