Folios 148-149: William John Napier, HMS Erne, Hamoaze. Reply to letter dated 15 March 1814 directing his soliciting a Carpenter of some ship at this Port of the same Rate as HMS Erne. He acquaints he has not been able to procure an Officer and as HMS Erin is in great want of a Carpenter he requests the appointment of William Hunter Carpenter's Mate on HMS Arrow.
Folios 150-151: enclosure with folios 148-149. Letter dated 9 April 1814 by Vice Admiral William Domett, HMS Salvador del Mundo, Hamoaze to the Admiralty. In compliance of the letter from Mr Barrows dated 1 February 1814. He sends [not present] a Certificate of the qualifications of Robert Trueman late of HMS Invisible - Candidate for a Carpenter's Warrant. He also sends a Certificate of the qualifications of William Hunter late Carpenters' Mate of HMS Arrow.
