Folios 486-487: James Nash, HMS Salvador del Mundo [place not given]. He refers to a letter signed BL that alleged abuses existing on board. He is accused of bringing his servants and children on board but states that he has a single servant and two boys to wait on him. His sons, Charles and John, are on the books as class boys as is allowable. Some alterations were made to the ship, but none of the King's materials was used, and the improvements were to clean up the condition of the ship. He addresses further allegations.
Folio 488: enclosure with folios 486-487. Signed E Buller, J Gore and J Beresford, HMS Salvador del Mundo, Hamoaze, 6 October 1810 write to Admiral Robert Calder saying that they have tried to discover the author of the anonymous letter but the crew denied any knowledge of it. They found the ship disciplined and well organised and the captain has prevented ant misdoing by the purser.
