Folios 107-108: Thomas New, Regulating Officer, Swansea. Reply to letter dated 29 May 1809 in the case of Anthony Allen. The said man had served as an apprentice upwards of four years, he appeared over 18 and he acquainted the party applying for his release that they must produce an attested copy of register of Birth. Lieutenant Nicholas Kortwright the Commander of the Eliza Tender reports to him that once Anthony Allen was sent on board, James Allen, the person applying offered Ten Guineas to the Mate of the Tender.
Folios 109-110: enclosure with folios 107-108: Letter dated 27 May 1809 by James Allen, Swansea, to the Admiralty. Covering letter for the enclosed affidavit. Requests his discharge.
Folio 111: enclosure with folios attached to 109-1108: Affidavit of James Allen of Dundalk, Ireland, Master of the Brig Thetis. Sworn before Rowland Prichard Glamorgan. 27 May 1809. That his son Anthony Allen was his apprentice.
