Description

Folios 243-244: Joseph Nourse, London. Covering letter for the enclosed Petition signed by a number of Gentlemen who have been particularly active in canvassing for Sir Samuel Hood whose intention, from his own knowledge was to have attended to it had he not left town so immediately after the election.

Folios 245-246: enclosure with folios 243-244. Petition signed by 18 people. We Inhabitant Householders of the Parish of St Martin in the Fields. Present that Thomas Turrell late a Shoemaker in Hungerford Street did either from inebriety or distress of mind left his family and entered on board a Tender and is now on board HMS Pearl at Spithead that he is not a Seaman or has ever been at Sea but is a member of the First Battalion Queens Royal Volunteers as per the accompanying certificate. He has a Wife and two infant children. They request his discharge.

Folio 245A: enclosure attached to folios 245-246 Certificate that Thomas Tyrrel is a member of the First Battalion Queens Royal Volunteers. Dated 5 November 1806. Signed F P Robinson Lieutenant-Colonel 1st Q R V.
