Folios 237-238: John Arthur Norway, HMS Tromp, Falmouth. Reports that Lieutenant McCarthy [Michael M'Carthy] of HMS Tromp has this day told him he has received a Commission to take Command of HMS Tromp. He has heard nothing from the Admiralty and feels that his length of service etc has not been taken into account and being placed on half pay and cut off from doing anything.
