Folios 170-171: James Nicolson, No 28 Craven Street, Strand. States having reason to [eel his reputation deeply implicated by Sir Robert Calder, [HMS Prince of Wales?] in his late Court Martial held on him, in the assertion he makes, that he did not desire him to acquaint the Commander in Chief that it was his determination to attack the enemy on the 25 July 1805. He acquaints them that he has thought it necessary to offer to the Public an Affidavit he made before the Lord Mayor of London, of the absolute facts of his (Sir Robert Calder's) conversation with him on that subject. He regrets having to make step. He requests employment.
