Folios 107-108: Thomas New, Regulating Officer, Swansea. Reply to letter dated 16 June 1806 and he states the case of Paul Bevan. This man came voluntarily to the Rendezvous - he never was at sea. He is of the opinion that the exchange mentioned in Sir Gabriel Powell's letter will be advantageous.
Folios 109-110: enclosure with folios 107-108. Letter dated 13 June 1806 by Sir Gabriel Powell, Heathfield Lodge, Swansea, to the Admiralty. Request the discharge of Paul Bevan who in a state of intoxication entered into the Navy. He suggests that on finding a proper Seaman to be approved by Thomas New in his place.
