Folios 64-65: James Nash, Regulating Captain, Leith Rendezvous. Reply to letter dated 30 August 1806 he states the cases of:- Adam Smith & Stephen Hobday. These men were impressed on 11 August 1806 out of the Henry Dunds Excise Cutter in Leith Roads, in consequence of his hearing that a Snuggling Lugger had been brought in and that some Smugglers were on board her. The Memorial is a complete fabrication.
