Folios 12-13: John Nairne, 15 Howard Street, London. Covering letter for the enclosed Memorial. Request directions be directed for his Bills for personal Pay as Commander of HMS Halifax during the time he was engaged in the Court Martial of Henry Whitby.
Folio 14: enclosure with folios 12-13. Letter dated 17 November 1806 by the Admiralty Office, to John Nairne, 15 Howard Street, London. Having laid your request to the Commissioners for Personal Pay as Commander of HMS Halifax they have Command us to acquaint you that they are unable to do this but have placed you on the Half Pay List.
