Covering letter for the enclosed order appointing John Nairne to command HMS Cambrian by Captain John Poo Beresford who has vacated command of that ship by hoisting his Broad pendant as Senior Officer following the death of Admiral Sir Andrew Mitchell late Commander-in -Chief on the Coast of America.
