Folios 308-309: James Nash, Regulating Officer, Leith. William Crane was discharged from HMS Norfolk and said he was willing to serve as Master of a gun brig but did not want to volunteer so he was sent to HMS Roebuck. He looks about 30.
Folios 310-311: enclosure with folios 308-309. Petition of William Crane. He has been Master of four named vessels in Aberdeen and was discharged from HMS Norfolk on 27 May 27 1805. He can prove the truth of this and wants to be released.
