Folios 376-377: James Northey, HMS Curlew, off Hastings. He acknowledges the letter informing him that Lieutenants Colin Milne and Phillip Richardson had been appointed to HMS Curlew. Neither of these Officers have yet joined the ship and he is concerned that both are senior to Robert Sangster who has been acting as 1st Lieutenant for some time.
