Folios 240-241: John Nicholas, HMS Eurydice, off The Needles. Reports that the Master of The Dove Privateer, returning from a 10 week cruise, has stated that he was allowed 42 men, but not needing to show their Protection. Captain Nicholas did not believe he was allowed so many, and pressed 10 of them which he hopes he may be allowed to keep, as he is 42 short of complement.
